Tracklist

Track Info

This is yet another Album where I focus all my energy on Famitracker chiptunes. I'm sure you will recognize my style by now, as there are some familiar tunes, but I have also experimented quite a bit and tried to go outside my comfort zone to create some tunes with a sound that might not be typical for my usual style. It has indeed been a fun ride, and I am super happy and excited to give you yet another album to enjoy. I hope you'll like listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it! :)

Frozen Langos

The opening tune of the album is a happy and bouncy melody that has an "overworld map" theme to it. Let's start the adventure! The story behind the title is that we were going to try langos for the very first time, but when we got them, they were frozen. That event was stuck in my head as I made the song, so it got to keep the name.

Boink

This tune sounds like something that would fit for a password screen. It's a happy and bouncy one but in a different way It's almost like it's several different songs mashed into one.

Blueberry March

A march music tune. The blueberries are marching. They are happy and determined to get what they want, and so is the tune.

Fingerfeet

This tune is a little darker, and borrows the mood from the deep forests of northern Scandinavia. It's not "sad", but definitely more on the mellow side.

Facehammer

This one is kind of harsh, with a steady beat, and to an extent a little bit experimental as well. I think it's well suited for a boss battle or a time challenge.

About Ducks

I love ducks, and this song is about them, how they waddle along all happy and swim in the water with joy. It's a happy and calm song, just like ducks.

A Calmer Day

A calming song for when you just want to relax and have a calmer day. I did quite a bit of experimentation with this one, and ended up with an effect that almost makes it sound like the song has a reverb, and I put a lot of effort into the drums, too.

Cooking Together

Cooking is a fun activity to do together, and you really get the feeling of being a good team when you have created something yummy together. This song is a happy, high tempo one to really catch the boost in happiness you get when you cook together.

On Our Way

An adventurous, epic sounding song that really gives the feeling of going somewhere and being on one's way in a determined fashion. Sounds like something out of an RPG.

In My Shell

A slow song, because it's about a snail who likes it best when he gets to be in his shell, and doesn't have to be bothered by the outside world.

Secret Treehouse

A bouncy happy and experimental song in honor of having a secret treehouse that you can go to and be secretive about whatever you want. In this one I also experiment some more with different effects.

Transient Response

How quickly a voltage regulator module responds to changes in current demand is called transient response. I thought it was fitting for this song because it has some very fast notes in it. It also sounds kind of like a minuet or some other piece of classical music. High in tempo and high in energy.

Herman the Pleco

Herman was a pleco. His life was short, but his legacy lives on forever. This song is to commemorate his short time on this earth. The song has Russian influences and fun transpositions.

Dunes at Night

The title track of the album, but at the end of it, because it's a slow, sad song that has more of a "credits roll" or "game over" feel to it than an opening theme, so that is why I put it last.
